Update log not saving Options

Hi

 

I have an issue with the update logs.  I used to be able to see the logs in their respective locations, but now they are no longer being generated.  While the update is taking place I can see the temp generated files, but once the update is complete they simply disappear and no log is saved.

 

Please help!

Hello Cindy,

 

The logs should be there.  By default, they are written to the users local appdata folder, though this can be modified.

 

Is there anything special about the user running the update?  Is it a roaming profile? A service?

Thanks for your reply.  I'm starting to think I'm going mad!  I am doing testing on a few virtual machines and this happened on 2 seperate machines.  The logs are now showing again.  This wasn't the first unusual issue I've had where something didn't work as it was meant to and then suddenly started working without me changing anything.  I'm starting to think that maybe my vms may be a bit buggy. 

 

If I come across this situation again I will try to dig a bit further and let you know.
