Hello,

We are currently spec'ing a web service that will provide analytical data about the discovery, usage, and current version state of deployed AppLife Update enabled applications. You will see this server side option become availble in Q2 of this year.

Currently, your web server statistics can provide some measurable insight.  You can look at the requests for the Director.Xml, as well as each individual update package.

You can do more by implementing your own web service that your applicatoin can call, or by implementing a custom IHttpRequest handler at your update location.  You can add information to the http requests that the AppLife update controller makes by setting the CustomHttpHeaderValue property of the Update Controller.  The value of this property is added to the http header information with a key of AppLifeHttpHeader and can be extracted within a custom IHttpHander.
