Hello,

Though you can easily remove the availablity of an update, the default versioning mechanism does not support forcing a rollback to a previous version.

Update versioning is based on the major.minor.build.revision scheme.  The Update Controller cannot update to a lower version number than the current version.  That being said, there is no requirement what-so-ever that the version number scheme that you use to control update availablity match your actual software release versions.  By using your own update control scheme, such as simply incrementing an arbitrary number with each update, you could easily "update" to a previous version of your software by using an incremental update control version number, thus forcing a version rollback.

Here is a solution lab that articulates a proven scheme for separating update version stamping from actual assembly or file versioning.
