The update to our product requires a newer version (10.0) of the Visual C++ runtime, so I need to ensure that gets installed. The merge module for this is typically found at

\Program Files\Common Files\Merge Modules\Microsoft_VC100_CRT_x86.msm

What is the best way to make sure the user gets this installed during the update? The Make Update app doesn't seem to have a Merge Module action, only one to execute MSIs.

Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave,

You would need to create an msi that includes the merge module, and then execute that msi during the update.  This can be accomplished by using the Execute Msi update action.
